Ellis Island Immigration Museum

12-acre Ellis Island is located in New York Harbor, adjacent to the majestic Statue of Liberty National Monument, and home to the Ellis Island Immigration Museum, which once housed the Federal Immigration Station. The Ellis Island Immigration Museum houses everything from historic medical records to the Wall of Honor, dedicated to the 12 million immigrants that came to America to embrace freedom in the new world. Over 700,000 names are inscribed on the Wall of Honor, and for a small donation to support the Museum, you can have the names of your ancestors etched into the wall.
