Standing over 1,000 feet tall, the puddle iron lattice Eiffel Tower is one of the most recognizable structures in the world, a prominent symbol of Paris and France. Commonly referred to as “The Iron Lady”, the Eiffel Tower was constructed by Gustave Eiffel in 1889 at the entrance to the Exposition Universelle, or World’s Fair, and thought to be only temporary.
There are three levels of the Eiffel Tower to ascend, and at each level visitors can enjoy beautiful panoramic views of landmarks around Paris. The first two floors can be accessed via stairs or lift; however, visitors must use a lift to go to the top. A variety of boutiques, restaurants, cafes, and historical objects are located throughout the Eiffel Tower; creating a memorable experience whether accented by the sun at daylight or the sparkling lights at night.
