Coral Castle

Coral Castle is an impressive stone structure that was created by Edward Leedskalnin; purportedly in response to his fiancée leaving him one day prior to their wedding. Comprised of 1,100 tons of megalithic stones, mostly limestone formed in coral, the Castle took over 28 years to build under the veil of secrecy.
The mystery and intrigue behind the Coral Castle is that no one knows how Edward Leedskalnin built the structures; given each stone weighed several tons. Some say that he had supernatural powers; however, Edward claimed that he knew the secrets used to build the ancient pyramids. No matter how the Coral Castle was constructed, it is an amazing site to behold.
