California Palace of the Legion of Honor

The California Palace of the Legion of Honor is a beautiful Neo-classical building overlooking Lincoln Park and the Golden Gate Bridge. The building was completed in 1924 using a three quarter scale version of the Palais de la Legion d’Honnor in Paris, and stands today as a beautiful fine arts museum; including works from Monet, Picasso, Degas, and Rodin.
The fine arts collection at the Museum spans more than 6,000 years of ancient and European art. The Palace also houses the Achenbach Foundation for Graphic Arts, a collection of over 90,000 graphics related items.
