Ghiradelli Square

Ghiradelli Square was originally a chocolate factory established by Domenico “Domingo” Ghiradelli. Manufacturing of the delicious chocolate was moved to San Leandro in the 1960’s; however, the old factory brings many visitors to the Square.
Designed in the character of historic San Francisco, Ghiradelli Square has more than 75 tenants offering fine cuisine, art, and merchandise from around the world. Added to the National Historic Register, the Square has become a model for the restoration of classic buildings throughout the country.
