Temple of Debod

Donated in 1968, the ancient Egyptian Temple of Debod is one of few works of ancient Egyptian architecture that can be seen outside of Egypt, and the only one in Spain. Due to the direct threat the Dam of Aswan posed to several monuments in Egypt, Madrid agreed to rebuild the Temple near its royal palace in the Parque del Oeste.
Since its opening in 1972, the Temple of Debod can be viewed in Madrid as a true relic from ancient Egyptian times.
