Sao Paulo Cathedral

The Sao Paulo Cathedral is the largest church in Sao Paulo, with a total capacity of 8,000 people. Construction on the Cathedral began in 1913 with a Neo-Gothic style architecture, using more than 800 tons of rare marble, and was not completed until four decades later.
Despite its Neo-Gothic structure, the Cathedral’s Renaissance inspired dome reaches 100 feet over the crossing, alongside two flanking towers soaring at a height of 301 feet. Despite the dome’s architecture, it is considered the 4th largest Neo-Gothic Cathedral in the world.
