Page Museum at the La Brea Tar Pits
The Page Museum is located in Rancho La Brea, one of the world’s most famous fossil locations, within the heart of Los Angeles. The Museum is recognized for having the largest and most diverse collection of extinct Ice Age plants and animals in the world. Visitors will learn more about Los Angeles as it was 10,000 to 40,000 years ago, when animals such as saber-toothed cats and mammoths roamed the Los Angeles Basin.
Visitors can watch fossils being cleaned, classified, and repaired through windows inside the Page Museum, while outside, they can view replicas of several extinct mammals.
