Charlottenburg Palace
The SchlossCharlottenburg is an early 18th century baroque palace, the largest palace in Berlin. The building was completely burned to the ground during World War II, but has been completely and meticulously reconstructed.
The interior of the Palace was beautifully restored, and its royal rooms are open to visitors. The Palace’s Oak Gallery is paneled with oak and covered with beautiful oil paintings. The porcelain gallery is decorated with mirrors and a delicate display of Chinese porcelain. Other interesting rooms include the White Hall, Golden Gallery, and the Gallery of the Romantics, with its collection of paintings from the German Romantic period. Also worth a visitis the Schlosskapelle, the palace chapel and French baroque style gardens behind Charlottenburg Palace.
