Bargello National Museum

Originally, built in the 13th century to house the Podesta, the city’s magistrate, the Bargello is one of the most popular museums in Florence. An impressive collection of Florentine renaissance sculptures ishoused in the Bargello that was once owned by the powerful Medici family.
