Galleria del’Accademia

Considered one of Europe’s great museums, the Galleria del’Accademia is a treasure house of Venetian paintings. The chronological exhibition features a showcase of works between the 13th and 18th centuries by all the great master painters of Venice, the largest such collection in the world.
Housed in a deconsecrated church, and its adjoining scuola, it is Venice’s principal picture gallery, which opens a window to the Venice of 500 years ago.
