Shanghai Urban Planning Exhibition Center

Housed in a modern, five-story building constructed of Microlite glass, the Shanghai Urban Planning Exhibition Center is like taking a trip to a city of the future. One of the world’s largest showcases of urban development, the center includes a scale model of urban Shanghai as it will appear in 2020, a plan filled with endless skyscrapers and clear plastic models of structures yet to be built.
The fourth floor of the Shanghai Urban Planning Exhibition Center includes futuristic displays of proposed transportation methods, including magnetic levitation (maglev), subway, and light-rail trains.
