Xintiandi

Accommodated in a two-block complex of refurbished traditional stone-frame (shikumen) housing, Xintiandi, or “New Heaven and Earth” includes high-end restaurants, bars, shops, and entertainment facilities. Considered one of China’s first lifestyle centers, Xintandi is an affluent car-free shopping, dining, and entertainment district of Shanghai with an active nightlife, though romantic settings are more common than loud music and dance places.
