Trinity College

Founded in 1592 by Queen Elizabeth I, Trinity College was initially established to educate children from the upper classes and protect them from negative Catholic influences elsewhere in Europe. Today, it is considered to be the most respected university in Ireland.
Trinity College is spread across the heart of Dublin in a fairy tale like setting, incorporating buildings dating back from the 17th to the 20th centuries, cobbled square walkways, gardens, and picturesque settings throughout. Among its alumni are Bram Stoker, Oscar Wilde, and Samuel Beckett.
