Cabildo

Built in 1751, the small, white, colonial-style Cabildo, or “Old City Hall”, was the original seat of city government established by the Spainards. A small, informal museum displays paintings and furnishings from the colonial period with breathtaking views of the Plaza de Mayo.
Visitors to the Cabildo enjoy watching the changing of the guard that happens in front of the building every hour.
