Overstolzenhaus
The Overstolzenhaus was constructed in the early 13th century by a wealthy merchant family, and is considered one of fine examples of secular Romanesque architecture. Many of Cologne’s medieval buildings were destroyed during World War II, and the Overstolzenhaus was heavily damaged; however, unlike many other historic houses, the house was completely restored in 1955. It is definitely worth visiting during a trip to Cologne.
