Asian Civilisations Museum

The Empress Place Building housing the Asian Civilisations Museum once housed the entire government bureaucracy in the early 1900’s, and a government office until the 1980’s, but it is now home to one of the best museums in Singapore.
The fantastic Southeast Asian Culture exhibit highlights the history of the region, and the Chinese, South Indian, and Islamic heritage that has shaped the culture. The museum also includes several galleries that showcase fine arts, furniture, porcelain, jade, and other important relics.
