National Museum of Singapore

The National Museum of Singapore is housed in a building that has existed for over 120 years, and has expanded into a new wing, connecting the two structures by a beautiful glass ceiling walkway.
The extensive History Gallery tells the story of Singapore from two points of view: one from a “man on the street” and the other from a historian. Visitors choose which perspective they’d like to hear, and listen to the corresponding audio headset to guide them through the exhibit. Four Living Galleries with the museum incorporate objects and elements of everyday life in Singapore, including food, fashion, film, and photography.
