Church of Our Lady

Located on the banks of the River Limmat in Zurich, the Church of our Lady, or Fraumunster, is easy to locate with its giant clock tower topped by a slender green spire. The church was given by the Emperor Ludwig the German to his daughter in 853, and was eventually handed over to the city.
The choir of this relatively small church is surrounded bybeautiful stained glass windows created by artist Marc Chagall and installed in the Fraumunster in 1970. Each of the five windows has a dominant color and depicts a Christian story.
