Great Church

The Great Church, or “Grossmunster”, literally translated as great minster, is a Romanesque style church that played an important role in the history of the Protestant Reformation. Built in 1220, the Great Church is one of Zurich’s most recognizable landmarks because of its twin towers that were erected in the 15th century. Fans of architecture will enjoy the combination of Roman, Gothic, and New Gothic style elements of the towers.
