Museo del Templo Mayor

The Museo del Templo Mayor is an indoor and outdoor museum that displays several layers of a modern day, partial excavation of “The Great Temple” that was considered the most important religious structure in the Aztec capital. The museum illustrates the variety and splendor of the Aztec Empire, and includes 6,000 artifacts that came from a small portion of excavated ruins in front of the museum. Visitors to the museum will find displays of masks, figurines, tools, jewelry, and other fascinating artifacts.
