National Museum of Anthropology

The National Museum of Anthropology in Mexico City’s Chapultepec Park is one of the most extensive of its kind in the world. There are numerous artifacts from ancient cultures in Mexico, including the Olmec, Mexica, Maya, Golfo, and Aztec among others. One of the most valuable pieces in the museum is a “Monkey Cup” made of black obsidian, which is believed to have taken generations to create.
Visitors to the museum can enjoy a picnic on the park plaza with a variety of food vendors and authentic folk dancers prepared to entertain.
