Imperial Treasury Chamber

Of the many museums that are housed in the Hofburg Palace, the Imperial Treasury Chamber, or Schatzkammer, contains a fantastic collection of crown jewels and artifacts, acquired by the Habsburg dynasty over the course of 1000 years.
The collection is displayed in 21 rooms, with the first 16 rooms dedicated to secular treasures of the Habsburgs, including some of the most magnificent crown jewels created during the Middle Ages. The remaining 5 rooms contain ecclesiastic treasures, such as liturgical vestments and objects used during religious services.
