St. Peter’s Cathedral

Best known as the home church of John Calvin, one of the leaders in the Protestant Reformation, St. Peter’s, or St. Pierre Cathedral was built in the 12th century using an eclectic mix of architectural styles, including Gothic, Neoclassical, and Romanesque.
The site of St. Peter’s Cathedral has been occupied since the 4th century, which visitors can see by touring the archaeological site underneath. For a spectacular panoramic view of Geneva, visitors can climb the 157 narrow, winding steps of the cathedral’s north tower.
