Baiyun Mountain

Visitors can ride a cable car to the summit of Baiyun Mountain, or “The Mountain of the White Clouds.” Tourists have been visiting Baiyun since the seventh century because of the natural beauty of the range of thirty peaks. Parks, which have developed over the past thousand years, unfold across the hills. Attractions include a summer resort, a hostel, the largest birdcage in Asia, a sculpture park, a golf course, the Yuntai Garden, tombs and monuments, and the Nengren Temple. Visitors who chose not to ride the cable car can take special buses. Baiyun is typically best enjoyed and most appreciated when the rains are lightest, usually during the early fall.
