Valencian Institute of Modern Art (IVAM)

Opened in 1989, the Institut Valencia d’Art Modern is one of the most important centers for modern and contemporary art in Valencia, Spain and in Europe as a whole. The museum shows the development of art and photography from the twentieth century.
The Modern Art Museum in Valencia has two spaces, including the Centre Julio Gonzalez, which features the museum’s collection, in addition to the Board of the Wall, housing remains of the former Medieval fortifications of the city and several temporary exhibitions.
