Nanjing, China Attractions

Qinhuai River

Visitors to Nanjing experience the city’s scenery from a unique vantage point when they view it from a cruise along the Qinhai River. Brightly colored tour boats operate from a number of locations, including the Panchi Wharf, in front of Dacheng Hall of Confucius Temple, Wuding Gate Wharf, the Wharf of Kuixing Ge, and Stone City Wharf. The Qinhuai is a branch of the Yangtze River which has two main tributaries. The one which flows through the heart of Nanjing is known as the inner river, and is associated with a number of revered Chinese myths. Visitors who take a boat along the Qinhuai River take in sights such as the Bailu Zhou Garden, Confucius Temple, Zhanyuan Garden, and the Zhonghua Gate.
