Dongmen Shopping Street

From small specialty shops to large malls stocked with mass merchandise, Dongmen is the traditional center of Shenzhen shopping. The Moi and the Sun Plaza are the two malls, where bargains can often be found on clothing, fabrics and linens. But virtually everything is for sale on Dongmen, located on the east side of Shenzhen. Weekends are busiest, although crowds are always heavy. Restricted to pedestrian traffic only since 1999, Dongmen has been a retail center for 300 years. It is accessible by the Shezhen Metro, and offers a wide variety of goods and services, including a number of beauty salons.
