Elephant Safari Park of Desa Taro

Rescued from deforestation in central and southern Sumatra, the elephants in the Safari Park of Deso Taro offers visitors a unique opportunity to get up close and personal with these peaceful giants. Visitors can enjoy sightseeing expeditions on the back of one of these gentle pachyderms through Taro’s jungles.
The facilities at Elephant Safari Park include a reception center with graphic displays of elephant history and physiology, a gift shop, snack bar, and a restaurant and bar with views over the lake and park. A museum in the Park includes 1,000 exhibits, including a 15,000 year old mammoth skeleton.
