London City Hotel
The City can be divided into two distinct areas: the traditional old financial district that is situated around St. Paul’s Cathedral and the Tower of London, known as the Square Mile; and the new glass and steel structures built up in Canary Wharf. Hotels in the traditional part of The City remain largely historic, many built in the 19th Century wheras in Canary Wharf they tend to be more modern and often offer accommodations larger than those in the other parts of London. An important note to visitors here: while there are many shops and restaurants to be found in this area, the financial district is usually relatively quiet when the work day ends.
