Rich wood panelling, oil paintings, and antique furniture bask in glows from an open fire in the common areas, which include a reading room and sitting room with an honor bar. Floors are stone flagged, and the general atmosphere of the interior is more akin to a social club than a hotel. Meetings can be catered for in the library or drawing room. Drinks and light refreshments can be taken in the conservatory, which overlooks a quaint garden. The hotel staff is happy to arrange for a car to meet guests at the airport and transport them directly to the hotel.
