Sharing 1,839 acres of oceanfront paradise with the legendary Mauna Kea Beach Hotel, the Hapuna Beach Prince Hotel is nestled into the bluffs above the white sands of Hapuna Beach - rated one of the best beaches in America by Conde Naste Traveler. A predominant feature of The Hapuna Beach Prince site is the presence of a series of underground springs. In ancient times, during seasons of heavy rainfall these springs would bubble to the surface creating natural artesian fountains.
The resultant streams would provide a source of respite and renewal for travelers along the otherwise dry and barren Kohala Coast. Thus the area was named /Hapuna/ or /Spring of Life/ in the Hawaiian language.
There is so much to see and experience at the Hapuna Beach Hotel. You can be busy from morning to night, or if you choose you can relax and soak in the rays on the long white sand beach.
The Hapuna Golf Course is an 18-hole championship golf course nestled in the dramatic natural contours of the land from the shoreline to about 700 feet above sea level. The course offers spectacular views of the Kohala coast and the Pacific Ocean while majestic Mauna Kea, Mauna Loa, and Kohala Mountains form the backdrop. In addition, guests may also elect to play at the world famous Mauna Kea Golf course, rated one of the best courses in the state.
In addition to the freshwater pool and poolside Jacuzzi, guests can enjoy the white sands of lovely crescent shores of Kauna'oa Bay or no.1 rated Hapuna Beach. Activities include swimming, snorkeling, scuba diving, outrigger canoe paddling, sailing, kayaking, catamaran riding, whale watching and deep-sea fishing. Windsurfing is available just 20 minutes south of our resort.

Even at night, guests step onto a circular lava outcropping overlooking the bay, to watch the manta rays swim beneath.
