The hotel’s interior décor, meanwhile, is contemporary and dignified with rich chocolate leather couches atop sleek hardwood floors in the lobby. Adjacent to the lobby and fronting the river walk, the hotel’s Pesca on the River restaurant serves creatively continental cuisines and features a popular oyster bar. The hotel’s roof-top pool and sun deck provide city views on warm summer days. But the Watermark Hotel is perhaps most well known for its signature spa, out-pampering the competition with all-natural treatments and splendid sanctuary lounges with candlelit spa tubs.

The Watermark Hotel & Spa sits on the stone-clad banks of the legendary river walk. The hotel’s front entrance, meanwhile, faces historic Crockett Street, just two blocks from where the eponymous statesman fought for Texas’ independence from Mexico at the Alamo Mission. The mission is wonderfully preserved today as one of the state’s most visited landmarks. Now a museum, its walls contain countless relics and stories from the battle. Other nearby attractions in walking distance include River Center Mall and the Alamodome.
